Matlock Bath Run 24th Jan 2010

Woke up to a nice sunny day got the bike out and me and Barb set off to meet up with the others at the White Hart, on route we noticed Jim parked up below the castle rock having a fag, later he told me he's been riding round since 9.00am, " couldn't you sleep then Jim, lol " Got to the White Hart and Seven bikes turned up plus Dave & Barb in the car, Reuben opened the doors as he was vacuuming the carpet so we could have a cup of tea, you could smell the food they was cooking in the pub which made you feel hungry. At 11.30am helmets on and off we went and as we where leaving the car park Dave was taking our photo, " hope you got my best side Dave ". On route you could see dark clouds on the horizon and by the time we got on the A610 we got the first drop of rain, thinking should we turn back or carry on, but being hard bikers we carried on, got to Ripley and noticed one turned back and went home so that left six bikes. As we reach Matlock Bath the rain eased off and when we turned into the fish pond car park who should be there rolling a fag was Ray, who had not long turned up, and plus Dave and Barb turned up in the car as well. We all had a hot drink and some of us had a walk to bikers gearbox to see if they got any deals on. Had a bag of chips as you do in Matlock and walked back to the car park and noticed the clouds were getting dark again so decided to have a steady run back home and Rob went onto Carsington Waters. Despite the weather it was nice to get the bike out and have a run out with friends, and here's to many more.
